A Short Poem Written In 2012

Wilderness Mysteries

Something or someone

Lives deep in the woods

Not quite a man

Not quite a bush

Enormous in stature

Yet not quite a tree

I’ve not seen it in motion

Though it has seen me

One night I heard it

Move outside my door

I peered out to see it

And heard it no more

I knew it was there

For beyond my front door

Stood a bush in the wood

That was not there before
