#61 Drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, October 2019: Day Three
The clouds want to overtake the mountain but the mountain resists, pushes back, refuses to surrender, stands tall, immovable, strong--a force of it’s own to be reckoned with.
Drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. October 2019: Day Three: Lynnville Falls to Julian Price Campground
Regardless of nature’s all-night walnut bombing campaign targeting my tent I wake refreshed and ready to face another day, which is not always the case lately.
The lighter still refuses to work due to last night’s water spill on it. I pay a quick visit to my friends around the corner so I can light my stove and cook breakfast. One of them comes over to pick up the lighter and hands me some matches in a small Ziplock bag. She tells me to keep them for the rest of my trip.
I break camp and head up the road towards… well, I don’t know to where. But with a hot cup of coffee resting in the cup holder and the sun shining down, I head north on the Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) to see what I can get into.
