#98* Sprawl: An Accidental Section Hiker Trials And Triumphs on And Off the Trail
Book Two - Introduction
Today is May 5th, 2021. I am typing the very first words for Sprawl: An Accidental Section Hiker - Book Two.
This one picks up where the first one leaves off. It will be laid out much like the first one.
It will out start with a couple of chapters that set the stage by giving a brief summery for what’s been going through the winter and spring of 2021.
It will continue looking at the ebbs and flows of my relationship with my son and his progress.
It will move into daily stories from 2021’s Appalachian Trail section hike with Medicine Man, Princess, and Uncle Lody from Damascus VA to Lake Mountain Road in VA.
Then on to my solo hike in 2022, which is my longest hike yet, from Lake Mountain Rd in VA to Harper’s Ferry WV.
There have been slight improvements in my mental health but now I’m experiencing declines in my physical health. After spending months being tested in 2021, I received a shocking diagnosis early 2022.
There are ebbs and flows in my work life, changes in friendships, changes with my son and me, changes that affect the future in both positive and negative ways.
Remember, the subtitle for Sprawl: An Accidental Section Hiker is after all Trials And Triumphs on And Off the Trail.
The hits just keep on coming, but hey, so do the wins.
When the world takes a swing at you, you have to punch back.
Join me every Saturday morning to read the latest stories. You never know, there might be more in there that you can relate to than you think.
I want to thank all who are supporting my writings financially. Especially now, when the cost of just getting by is rising.
Thanks to everyone who is allowing me to put our shared experiences in my stories, they wouldn't be the same without you.
Throughout this second collection of stories you will notice an uptick of spirit as things get better.
There is light on the horizon.
