#83 Boot’s Off Hostel to Iron Mtn Shelter Day 39: ATMM 428.6 to ATMM 444.5

Deep in the night I am wakened by another sound, a long scraping noise, one I've never heard before.........

The birds are once again wake us with the singing their morning melodies overhead. The morning is cool and clear. The humidity we’ve been experiencing has gone, at least it was last night and is this morning, leaving me in a singing mood as well. Let’s hit it birds.

Faint voices from the fire ring reach my tent, drawing me to the common area to survey the breakfast layout. Did I not mention that this hostel provides coffee, cereal, fresh fruits, and donuts? They’ve got the hotels beat.

I start things with coffee, fresh fruit, Fruit Loops and some oatmeal I brought up with me. I brought my dishes but there’s no need for my stove, the hot side of the sink delivers water from a tank who’s dial is be set to scalding.

I top off breakfast with a chocolate covered donut and another cup of coffee while gazing out over the area from upon the wooden deck.

With a full belly I’m ready to take on the next fifteen miles of mountains, but first, a quick shower for no reason at all. Always take advantage of luxuries where you can get them.
