We find an unexpected treasure; a large stream. The map seems to be unaware of it, but it’s here, deep and flowing strong.

We wake early to watch the sunrise. Low on the horizon, the glowing red ball briefly appears for us from between a thin set of horizontal curtains of clouds and the earth. We sit for a while as the earth wakes up, but again, the cold wind chases us back to the trees. We are grateful to have the natural wind barrier to cook breakfast behind.
